From the Italian verb 'volare' which means 'to fly'.
Two Italian Greyhounds playing.
Pax 2011
'Pax 2011' is a commissioned work. It shows the whippet Pax at play in a park near his home in Edinburgh. This is quite a large work at 48x36 inches and is painted in bright summer hues and emulating the gentle fawns and whites of Pax's coat. The colours reflect the dappled effect of the light through the trees in the little oasis of trees and grass in the centre of the city.

Purple Flower
This is a portrait piece which aims to capture the character and beauty of a much loved pet. She is wearing her favourite purple velvet collar with large flower as she basks in a shaft of sunlight near a window. The colours reflect the movement of light and pattern across her face.

Three Seeing Mice
Oil on canvas, 8 x 8 ins Three separate box canvases
I love the big, black beady eyes - all seeing and so knowing - reminiscent of Banksy's rats. Something small after all the large canvases! Their simplicity reminds me of little graffiti beasties.
